CBD content of CBD oil can vary tremendously across different vendors due to the varying quality of hemp that's used, as well as varying preparation and extraction techniques. All cannabinoids, including CBD, produce effects in the Endocannabinoid System, which is responsible for helping maintain homeostasis and balance within the body. The body naturally produces cannabinoids to help regulate functions like mood, pain, and sleep, but these can become diminished due to internal imbalances or external stressors. Supplementing the body’s natural cannabinoids with hemp-derived CBD helps bring the body back to balance, and in doing so, may optimize whole body wellness.

Broad Spectrum CBD products contain an array of beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes--but zero THC. To create Broad Spectrum CBD, the hemp plant must undergo additional processing to isolate and remove as much trace amounts of THC possible - while still preserving its therapeutic properties.*

Full Spectrum CBD refers to an extract created from the entire plant, leaves, flowers, stem and seeds without any filtering of THC. The full range of cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds remain intact, as well as up to 0.3% THC.

CBD Isolate is a purified exract that removes everything except the CBD crystals. Studies show that CBD works best when accompanied by the full range of hemp plant constituents and works most effectively together.

Hemp is the plant that is part of the Cannabis Sativa L. plant species. To be legally classified as hemp in the U.S., the plant must have very low levels of intoxicating THC (less than 0.3%). The fibers can be used to make clothing, and the seeds and seed oil is naturally dense. Additionally, hemp is a sustainable building material and removes chemicals and heavy metals from soil, making it an incredibly eco-friendly plant. Hemp has been used for thousands of years in the creation of rope, clothing and other products.

Scientifically, industrial hemp and marijuana are the same plant, with a genus and species name of Cannabis sativa. They have a unique genetic profile, however. Typically, industrial hemp is very fibrous with long strong stalks and few flowering buds. Marijuana plants are typically smaller, bushier, and full of flowering buds. However, newer industrial hemp varieties in the USA are being bred to have more flowers and higher yields of cannabinoids and terpenes, such as the Arizona hemp we’re now using! Most of the time, marijuana has a high amount of THC and a very low amount of CBD. Hemp, on the other hand, naturally has higher amounts of CBD (in most instances) and only trace amounts of THC. Fortunately, the cannabinoid profile of hemp is ideal for people looking for benefits from cannabis without the ‘high.’ Historically, hemp has been used to make food products, fiber, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and so much more. In the US, marijuana is usually used both recreationally and medicinally. The term “cannabis oil” can refer to either a marijuana or hemp-derived oil, since marijuana and hemp are two different forms of cannabis. All Zuna Brand CBD oils are derived from hemp.

For the best shelf life please store in a cool dark area away from direct sunlight, with low humidity. This will help to preserve the properties of the hemp extract. If properly stored CBD may have up to a 1 year shelf life!
